Must-Try Craft Beers From Our Online Craft Beer Shop

From light beers to stout beers, there are plenty of impressive choices. Ommegang’s Three Philosophers is a blend of a kriek and a quadruple, resulting in booze-forward flavors of dark fruit, molasses, chocolate, and vanilla.

Founded eight years ago, Drizly uses an app and local supply partners to deliver beer around the country. They add a small service fee to each order, but it’s well worth it.

Kokanee

Kokanee is a Pilsner-style beer that is British Columbia’s best-selling beer. It is made with pure mountain stream water and a blend of three varieties of malt. It has a lighter body than most other beer styles and offers very little hop bitterness, making it similar to a light Budweiser. The brewery produces a variety of different flavors of Kokanee and sells it mostly in Western Canada and Pacific Northwest states.

It is brewed in Creston, B.C. and was purchased by the Labatt Brewing Company in 1974. The Kokanee advertisements, which feature the official mascot Sasquatch, have received several awards from International Broadcast Advertising. They are known for their humorous satire of real life Sasquatch hunters, and have been a successful marketing campaign for the beer. Kokanee brings the mountains to you with every glass. Its light taste and refreshing finish make it the beer for those who enjoy “Glacier Fresh” quality. Check for craft beer delivery.

Steam Whistle

The founders of Steam Whistle staked their reputation on a classic, well-crafted Pilsner. Their motto “Do one thing really, really, well” has led them to rake in awards for the beer as well as for being an excellent microbrewery and employer.

The brewery occupies bays 1-14 of the John Street Roundhouse building at Roundhouse Park, formerly a railway repair facility for the CPR and now a museum. A tour starts in the grand Roundhouse hall and is very informative – especially since it includes an ice cold glass of Steam Whistle.

The company has a strong focus on environmental concerns. The bottles are made of a green, recyclable, BPA-free glass that can be reused up to 45 times (the industry standard is 15). They also use a pop-up carrying handle which is hygienic and easy to clean. Their logo is not printed on the bottle which eliminates the need for ink, varnish and glue. Their unique suitcase-style 12-packs were ranked 22nd by the CBC as a great Canadian invention.

Molson Canadian

A refreshing beer made with the best this land has to offer, Molson Canadian is brewed with Canadian water prairie barley and no preservatives. It is a light lager that has a great taste.

Using crystal clear water and the finest hops, this beer is slowly fermented to produce smooth, refreshing Molson Canadian Lager with genuine Canadian taste. The brewers take pride in their work and know that only a quality product can earn the Molson name.

The lager is sold in both cans and bottles. In addition to its flagship, Molson Coors has also released Fine Company – a collection of easy-drinking lagers that are lower in calories and sugar. The new beers are brewed at the Molson Coors brewery in Moncton, New Brunswick, and according to the company will give non-craft drinkers an opportunity to experiment with craft beer. The first two beers in the Fine Company portfolio include a low-calorie, sugar-free lager and a 5% abv IPA.

Mill Street Tankhouse Ale

Mill Street Tankhouse Ale is an organic-certified beer. It’s brewed with an abundance of hops and five different malts. This copper-colored beer pours with a parchment-colored head that fades to a frothy layer of 1-2mm. The aroma is a mix of toast and caramel with the faintest hint of hops. The taste is well balanced, with a toasty fairly rich caramel malt balanced by clean noble hop bitterness.

According to a survey conducted by the brewery, 1 in 4 Canadians want more beer options that are considered clean and ethically produced. And 74% of those expect the variety in their organic beer selection to match the increase in other organic products on store shelves.

Visit Mill Street’s west end Beer Hall at the Distillery District, minutes from UP Express Bloor Station, to enjoy mouth-watering bites to pair with their rotating menu of beer. They also offer tours of the brewery and distillery making schnapps from beer.
